Executive Director, ARC-Dallas
 Education: Graduating
from SMU, with an MA in Psychology, Simpson was inducted
into the National Honor Society for Psychology. Post-graduate work
in the field of marriage and family systems, earned her a Texas License
in Marriage and Family Therapy. Having served as mediator
for Dallas County Family Court Services, she performed court ordered
emergency family studies and has maintained a private practice for
couples, families and youth since 1993. Ms. Simpson began her first
career as special education teacher (for hearing impaired/deaf children).
She initiated her education at the University of Texas in Austin.
A Communication Major, she holds a Bachelor of Science,
with honors from Texas Women’s University. She taught classes
for hearing impaired K-12 in Dallas area ISD’s for seven years.
Career: Simpson authored Active Relationships
curriculums in 2003 and piloted them at Fort Sam Houston and in faith-based
communities. She has become an internationally recognized program developer
and trainer in the field of healthy relationships and founded two successful
Texas healthy marriage initiatives (in Dallas & the Rio Grande
Valley). She currently serves as project director for the Hispanic
Active Relationships Project (H.A.R.P.). A 2001 lecturer and faculty
member of the State Bar of Texas Advanced Family Law Seminar, her most
recent work includes professional trainings for the U.S. Army (Active
Relationships is used in the Army’s Strong Bonds program),
U.S. Air Force (CONUS, Europe and Asia), the National
Guard and Reserves. She also serves as curriculum
developer for HIAS, a national refugee organization headquartered in
NYC and offers technical assistance to promote lasting skills during
times of stress and change.

has been featured on NBC Nightly News, FOX News, CBS, and NPR; and
in media including The Wall Street Journal, Psychology Today and the
Dallas Morning News.

- Primary function to develop healthy relationship & marriage
curriculums, deliver professional trainings, and offer classes for
youth, singles, parents and couples
- ARC Curriculums are used by: U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, National
Guard, HIAS national refugee organization, Head Start Healthy Marriage
Grantees, federal and state healthy marriage grantees and in faith-based
organizations
