California Institute for Men, also referred to as “Chino State Prison” is a state-run prison located in Southern California. The Active Adults curriculum has been used in Chino State Prison to teach inmates important life-skills, including taking responsibility for one’s actions, making wise choices, managing emotional triggers and management of anger, as well as tools for communicating more effectively.
